Poetry’s popular Wonkiware range of duck egg and summer blue ceramics are back, but in an exciting departure from the staple, they are joined by a range of Portuguese handmade black ceramics, apart from my love of black everything, these ceramics give any table a serious dose of oomph. The range includes ovenproof and microwave-safe bowls, platters and roasting dishes.
If your style is more subtle, Poetry has you covered. The Elsje Burger range of fresh blue ceramics have an elegant pure gold rim and are perfectly suited for formal occasions and milestone celebrations. Christmas perhaps? Add an extra pop of colour with Poetry’s subtle yet vibrant printed napery.
My top tip? This crockery is far too pretty to be only pulled out the cupboard when entertaining, I use my most beautiful platters or servers as kitchen accessories. Use the salad bowl as a fruit bowl on your kitchen counter or use the ramekins for course salt and pepper, which would be used daily. Spare spot on a side board? Style with these bowls and platters, think a layered approach with a touch of seasonal greenery.
