CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

December came upon us all too quickly. And its time to start cracking on in my household. I love Christmas, I think its mostly the anticipation of my children’s faces on Christmas morning that does it for me.

Its also a time for me to try and be creative and unique as I can with my decorations and table setting. Now, while I love Christmas decorations, some of them, put frankly, are super kitsch.

I have a bit of a struggle between going traditional verses eclectic. On the whole eclectic wins hands down. I love a bit of a twist on generic Christmas decor.

This year I am going fairly plain. Less is more kinda thing. Im using lights, its add ambience to the room and my kids love it, it gives them a little thrill every evening when they get to turn them on. And they take the fairly plain decor and bump it up a notch!

I found this plain wreath at Ikea and teamed with these gold ball lights, its a go. Next I took some branches I found in the park, spray painted them black and hung gold balls and stars and some lights, quick, easy and different.

I also took wooden rings I had from last year and wrapped a string of gold and silver beads around them, love re using things!
